Twitter users ambiguously perceived the announcement of the release of a new device from Bitmain. While some expect a large number of graphics cards to enter the secondary market soon, others note that by the time Antminer E3 reaches the consumer, It will actually lose relevance, while the payback of the device in the current conditions can be about 8 months or more.

According to the website AsicMinerValue, its owners Antminer E3 after deducting the cost of electricity will bring $3.46 per day or $103.66 per month.

Earlier it became known that the FFG Casper update, which can be activated in the Ethereum blockchain this fall, will lead to a decrease in awards for PoW miners by 80% (from 3 ETH to 0.6 ETH).

Susquehanna previously reported about the possible development of ASIC-miner for Ethereum. Later, the developer Vlad Zamfir conducted a survey among his followers on Twitter about whether they will support hard fork Ethereum to confront the ASIC miners. Most of the respondents were in favour of amending the Protocol.
