Amori Sechet told about the future of Bitcoin Cash

The bitcoin conference "Satoshi Vision", which was held in Tokyo, was attended by many industry players and developers who discussed the future of cryptocurrencies and their development. During the event Amory Sechet (Amaury S?chet), a leading developer of Bitcoin ABC client, gave an interview and spoke about his vision of the future cryptocurrency Bitcoin Cash, which he covered in his speech at the conference.

"In General, I spoke about the direction in which I would like to see the development of Bitcoin Cash network. First, I talked about the values of our project to explain to people what we want to achieve. Then I explained how we would like to see the development of the project – I talked about many things, but perhaps the most important were the points about instant confirmation and scaling... these are the problems that, probably, can never be solved," — says Sechet.
Alternative implementation
Sechet expressed his opinion about other development teams — Bitcoin Unlimited and Parity, which released alternative customers for BCH. The leading Bitcoin ABC developer believes that the existence of several implementations is a good thing, as they spur each other to "work honestly" and develop.

"One of the things we did in the first place is we made sure that the customer and the coins are two separate identifiers so that other customers can also be issued. And very quickly, the Bitcoin Unlimited team has released a compatible client — I think that's great, because if one of The clients starts to misbehave, it will start losing market share and the other one will take over that share. This makes everyone play by the rules and work honestly," — said Sechet.
Sechet says that the presence of several customers allows you to regulate the work of the industry, calling miners analogous to the police or the justice system.

"It is important to have several implementations for two reasons. First, for technical reasons — if there is an error in one implementation, thanks to another client you can maintain the network", - says Sechet. "The second reason is social. Implementation can be compared to government in the real world, and people who write to the client – with legislators. The law is code, and we write the law, and miners act as law enforcement. You want legislators to be honest, and one of the problems of traditional government is monopoly. So if you have more than one implementation, it promotes fair play. If one of the implementations does not work according to the rules, people switch to another client."
As part of the interview, the developer also talked about opcodes, "colored coins" and how he plans to give Bitcoin Cash "Ethereum characteristics". In his opinion, op-codes and technology of "colored coins" can bring smart contracts to the BCH network.

Bitcoin Cash (BCH) is a version of Bitcoin obtained as a result of the hard fork of the original blockchain. As part of the Protocol, Bitcoin Cash almost completely repeats Bitcoin: PoW with the hash algorithm SHA-256; the maximum issue volume is 21 million coins; the same block time and the same reward system. CEO and a prominent supporter of Bitcoin Cash Roger Ver is convinced that the fall in the price of this cryptocurrency is a temporary phenomenon. In the near future, BCH will not only continue to grow steadily, but will also surpass the price of bitcoin. He said this in an interview with CCN.
